Design Anthology

Design Anthology UK Issue 16

Published three times a year,Design Anthology UK explores art, design, architecture, travel and style with a global outlook.

What grabbed us about this issue…

Issue 16 marks five years of Design Anthology UK with a celebration of the female talent the magazine has championed since issue 01. Fourteen cover stars spanning art, interiors, architecture, fashion and biotechnology is a strong editorial statement. Natsai Audrey Chieza’s work in biodesign sits alongside Sinta Tantra’s colour-led practice. The range makes the point without needing to labour it. The Temple of Light by James Gorst Architects is worth seeking out too. A multi-faith building designed around the movement of light is exactly the kind of project this magazine exists to platform.

Who’s Design Anthology for?

Design Anthology is one to reach for when you want to spend a bit more time thinking about the design world. With technical case studies, subject-specific recommendations and inventive spaces, it’s not the easiest entry point, but offers a more in-depth look at contemporary design. You can tell care has gone into how it’s made, with thick matte pages that give it a more lasting feel. It’s the kind of magazine you pick up when you’re in the mood to be challenged and explore something new.
