Pom Pom

Pompom Issue 37

pompom is a quarterly magazine for knitters and crocheters, with seasonal designs, patterns and instructions.

What grabbed us about this issue...

Issue 37 takes birds as its theme, with nine knit and crochet patterns for summer inspired by their colours and textures. We kept coming back to how closely the designers looked at their subject, drawing on details as small as footprints in the snow and as sweeping as flocks in formation. If you enjoy knits with a story behind them, you might like spotting the bird-inspired touches in each design. It's also worth a look if you'd like a mix of knit and crochet projects in one place.

Who is pompom for?

If you are already a knitter or a crochet, pompom is a great magazine to own for inspiration and patterns for your next project. If you're picking up yarn for the first time, we'd recommend learning the basics first before jumping into one of these projects, but the patterns are clearly laid out and easy to follow when you're ready. We like how pompom encourages you to keep fibre crafts as an analogue hobby and alternative to looking for patterns online where you can easily get distracted by other things.
